After-school student care for K2 to Primary 6

From the school bell to pick-up, your child is fed, does their homework with a teacher nearby, revises, and tries something new every day.

What does student care at Little Earth include?

Every weekday after school: a hot lunch, homework with a teacher nearby and spelling (听写) practice, revision in Chinese, English, Math and Science, an enrichment activity, a tea break, and care until you collect your child.

  • Lunch and a tea break. A hot, balanced lunch from a rotating menu when children arrive, and a snack with a drink in the afternoon.
  • Homework supervision. Every day, with e-learning and English and Chinese spelling (听写) practice.
  • In-house revision. Chinese, English, Math and Science.
  • Enrichment every day. From a termly schedule, the same at every centre: art and calligraphy, show and tell, storytelling, creative writing and coding, math booster, holistic development training, character and outdoor play.
  • Care until pick-up. Reading, puzzles and board games until you collect.
  • Bus pick-up and drop-off. Optional. Our bus picks children up from school at 1:30pm and can take them home at 5:30pm.

Beyond homework

Devices and our AI robot
Twice a week children use devices for their school platforms, such as SLS and Koobits, and our own e-learning system. They also practise Chinese and English speaking and vocabulary with our AI robot.
Reward cards
Children earn reward cards for finishing their tasks and swap them for small gifts or privileges. Each month we give out student award certificates.
Two languages
Our teachers speak English and Chinese fluently, with the children and with you.
Daily updates
You hear from us every day in a WhatsApp group chat. Each level has its own group.
Safety
CCTV across the whole centre, staff trained in first aid, set emergency procedures, and staff supervising children between activities and at dismissal.
Uniform
Children change into a Little Earth T-shirt when they arrive. You will need at least two.

What do the children eat?

A hot, balanced lunch on arrival and a snack with a drink in the afternoon. Lunch comes from a menu that rotates over four weeks: Japanese curry chicken with rice, fried bee hoon with vegetables or fish fillet with tomato soup, for example. The afternoon snack is something like jam bread with juice or biscuits with soya milk.

Our food is not halal-certified. If you have questions about your child's diet, please ask the centre.

Can my child start student care in K2?

Yes. Little Earth student care takes children from K2 to Primary 6, so your child can join in the year before Primary 1 and stay with us through primary school. A school-based student care centre takes only pupils of its own primary school, so it cannot take a K2 child.

K2 children can also join our K2 to P1 bridging class. Ask the centre how your child's kindergarten day fits with ours.

Do you pick children up from school, and drop them home?

Yes, if you need it. Our bus picks children up from school at 1:30pm and brings them to the centre, and can take them home at 5:30pm.

The bus is optional, one way or both ways. It is charged in two distance bands, up to 3 km and 3 to 5 km. Tell the centre your child's school and where you live, and they will tell you what the bus can cover.

What time does student care end?

Student care runs until 7pm on weekdays, and until 7:30pm at Tampines. Centres open at 10am; children arrive after school. On Saturdays and Sundays the centres run tuition and enrichment classes only.

What happens in the school holidays?

Student care children can stay with us for the full day in the school holidays and on single school off days, at a top-up. Holiday days come with breakfast (8:30am to 9:00am), lunch (12:30pm to 1:30pm) and a tea break (4:00pm to 4:30pm).

We also run full-day holiday programmes with outings. In June 2025, for example, the outings were World of Block, the Botanic Gardens, Gardens by the Bay and water play at SK Riverside Park. See what is coming up.

Can I use the Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) subsidy here?

No. Little Earth's centres are private and do not take SCFA. SCFA comes from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and is paid through student care centres that administer it for MSF. Little Earth does not.

Every primary school also has its own school-based student care centre, where eligible families can use SCFA. If SCFA matters to your family, start there. How school-based and private student care differ.

How are student care fees worked out?

Fees depend on the package you choose and the extras you add. We do not publish them online: WhatsApp the centre and we will send them to you.

  • Package: a full month, three days a week (12 days a month), or single days (at least four a month).
  • Extras: the bus (one way or both ways, by distance), tuition or fine art classes in the same afternoon, and full days in the school holidays.
  • When you join: a one-time registration fee and a refundable deposit, and at least two Little Earth T-shirts. Accident insurance is offered, covering time in student care indoors and outdoors.

Which centres run student care?

Tampines, Kovan, Marine Parade, Bukit Timah and Bishan. Our East Coast centre (Smart Study Club) runs tuition only, with no student care.
